Begin with the survival loop
Valheim is Iron Gate AB's collaborative exploration and survival game for 1–10 players, set in a procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology.
Explore, craft powerful weapons, construct halls, and fight mighty foes. Progress depends on preparing strong equipment and defeating the regional bosses known as the Forsaken to prove yourself to Odin.
Choose an official way to play
- Choose Steam for Windows, Linux, or Mac; the Mac App Store for Mac; Humble for Windows, Linux, or Mac; or the Microsoft Store for Windows.
- Console choices are Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 through their respective digital storefronts.
- Open Valheim's Steam product page if that is your chosen route; Steam records the release date as September 9, 2026.
- Once you are playing, focus on exploration and survival while crafting weapons, building shelter, improving equipment, and preparing to defeat the Forsaken.
